I am a community-driven individual, who has placed an emphasis both in my personal life and career to feel connected to the people and places around me.
Through my time at the University of Wyoming, I met professors that taught me the skills to make both photographic and written narratives within reporting and more importantly to cherish local journalism. With their help and support from my wife, I was able to document the Laramie, WY community until I graduated in May of 2023.
Due to my wife's job, we relocated to West Virginia where I started making stories with different publications throughout the state. My family, when immigrating to the United States, originally settled in West Virginia, and there is a lot of my family heritage rooted in this state. Even though I haven’t lived in West Virginia until now, it feels like home everywhere I go and the people I meet make me fall in love with the state just a little more. My hope is that a majority of my work and career is centered around West Virginia because for a land that is certainly wild, it has my heart in wonder.
